NEW STATE REQUIREMENT

September 1st, 2023 the State of Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security is requiring all 14 year old students attending the Teen Driving Classes must have the Pending Letter stating they have applied and have been approved for a Hardship License.

No 14 year old teens will be allowed to attend the driving school Teen Classes without the pending letter from the State of Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security.

NO EXCEPTIONS

STATE WRITTEN TEST – As of December 29th 2017, no driving schools in the state of Tennessee are allowed to give the state WRITTEN LEARNERS PERMIT test. All students must take the state WRITTEN LEARNERS PERMIT test at the DMV. The driving school prepares all students to take the State Written Learners Permit Test at the DMV.

STATE ROAD TEST – The student needs to be 15 years and 6 months old at the time of the Road Test, completed the 36 hour driving school class with a passing grade and have a Tennessee State permit. The 36 hour class must be completed. Road Test scores are valid for 365 days.

36 Hour Teen Defensive Driving Class

30 Hours Classroom Training

2 Hour Simulator Session
4 One Hour Street Driving Sessions

No simulator appointments or driving appointments are scheduled during the four days of class. They can be scheduled to begin after the last day of class.

Upon completion of every course is the option of a State Road Test for and additional $63.00.

40 Hour Teen Defensive Driving Class

30 Hours Classroom Training

2 Hour Simulator Session
8 One-Hour Street Driving Sessions
